What is Art Processors?
Art Processors was started in 2011 as a gamble, because risk-taking is in our DNA. Our first puzzle: how to completely transform a museum’s look and feel. We threw out wall labels and highbrow scholarly rhetoric, leveraged cutting-edge technology and a spirit of adventure, and gave visitors a new way of experiencing stories from the inside out. In the process, we invented our company.
Today, Art Processors is 60-people strong in Australia and the United States. We are a creative and engineering collective inventing experiential solutions for the cultural and tourism landscape. Our immersive experiences are enjoyed by people across the globe.
We treat each other, ourselves, and the world around us with respect. People and human-centred work is at the core of who we are and what we do.
ConsciousWe recognise that every action we take has an impact and strive to create an open, ethical, and eco-friendly workplace that makes a positive contribution for our team, clients, community and the environment.
Diverse and inclusiveWe are dedicated to creating workplaces, technology and content that reflects the communities we serve. It makes sense that different viewpoints, backgrounds, strengths, abilities, and experiences make for better ideas and a culture where everyone can be their authentic self.
CollaborativeWe believe that we don’t just work better together—collaboration is where we find the different, the intriguing, the new. A partnership approach is inherent in the way we work and we are stronger for it.
Enthusiastic and committedWe deliver creative excellence in everything we do and revel in the ups and downs of getting the job done. We see projects through to completion and beyond and are always looking for where we can do better.
BoldWe look for projects that are nearly impossible, plus a handful that are really easy. We believe there’s a solution to every problem. Our success—and much of the fun—lies in the challenge and in finding new ways of doing things.
Work with people who bring out the best in you
To create experiences that are meaningful for people everywhere, we work to ensure our team reflects the diversity of the organisations we serve.
We collaborate company-wide, challenging one another to bring our best ideas to every single project. Even as we grow, Art Processors remains a tightly knit team where every perspective matters.
We’re looking for all kinds of people
We believe diversity and inclusion not only support innovation and better business results, but a safe work environment for people of all backgrounds.
We have regular open brown bags on topics like Pride, First Peoples, gender equality, menstruation and menopause, and men’s health. When you join our team, you subscribe to our values.
Our partnerships make us stronger
We know that by ourselves we can only do so much. That's why we partner with like-minded organisations to fulfil our values.
Whether you work in our Melbourne headquarters, remotely, or a mix of both, choose the location and hours that best support your lifestyle and caring responsibilities. We also provide the tools and financial support you need to make your workspace work for you.
We want you to grow with us. We offer allocated time to learn and encourage you to seek out courses, conferences and other opportunities to further your personal development. You’ll also meet regularly with your people lead for open and ongoing conversations about your career goals.
Volunteer leave is just one way we give back to our communities. We offer two days paid leave so you can support a charity or non-profit organisation of your choice. We also have an ongoing commitment to protecting our climate by restoring our forests through our partnership with Greenfleet.
At Art Processors, we naturally spend our downtime seeking out arts and culture, and we help you do it too. We offer a cultural institution stipend so you can visit local museums, galleries, zoos and other attractions, and also attend industry events.
Art Processors is a place for all kinds of families. We are proud to offer 20 weeks paid leave for new parents after the birth, adoption or long-term foster care of a child. We commit to flexibility on your return to work, an individually tailored keeping in touch program while you’re on leave, and support employees undergoing IVF. That’s on top of our generous personal, life and compassionate leave benefits, support and resources for working parents, and more.
Take time off
Our flexible holiday and vacation policy means you’ll be encouraged to take time off when you need to rest and disconnect so you can keep doing great work, long term. We also offer bonus paid leave between Christmas and New Years so you can spend more time with your family.
Health and wellbeing
Your health is important to us. We offer an employee assistance program and coaching to support you in all areas of your life, wellbeing resources, subsidised gym memberships, mindfulness with Headspace, a Brain.fm account to help you concentrate, and more.
How we hire
After you apply and our talent acquisition lead has reviewed your application, we’ll get in touch via email to let you know if you’re through to the next round.
This is a quick conversation with our talent acquisition manager. It’s an opportunity for you to learn more about the role and we’ll ask some questions about your experience and interest in Art Processors.
3Meet the team
We want you to meet as many future co-workers as possible. This way, you can get to know our people and the projects they’re working on. First up will be a chat about your skills, followed by a conversation about your values and ours. You can expect to meet between 2-3 people for up to an hour each.
Tip: The best way to prepare is to spend some time reflecting on your experiences, both at the places you’ve worked and outside of work, and the things you’ve done to get to where you are today. It’s a good idea to bring along your portfolio or samples of work relevant to the role.
4Getting to know you
We want to know more about how you work and how we can set you up for success at Art Processors. We’ll get in touch with two of your references to learn more about how we’ll get along as colleagues.
5Decision and offer
We will collect feedback from team members of varying seniority and with different perspectives. Our talent acquisition lead will then come back to you with a decision and offer.
We know applying for and taking on a new role at any company requires a leap of faith. We want you to feel comfortable and excited to apply to Art Processors. We are committed to being open and transparent so you know what to expect along the way. We won’t ghost you. We want you to make as informed a decision as you can about whether Art Processors is the right place for you.
